Superintendent – High-Rise Construction Manager – Toronto
My client is a very busy Construction Manager in the GTA. They are working with some of the most reputable developers in Toronto and have a very healthy pipeline of high-rise residential work throughout the GTA.

Primary Function
You will be working with a team of top-class professionals with a dedication to timeliness and quality of work on projects from cradle to grave. You will provide overall supervision, coordination, sequencing and scheduling of construction activities on the project construction site. Complete project requirements as per plans and specifications on time and on budget, in cooperation with the Project Management team. You will be responsible for the implementation and overall enforcement of health and safety programs and quality control processes on site. You will supervise, coach and mentor other Superintendents and Engineers and develops positive relationships with all stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaboration and coordination with all project stakeholders ensuring delivery on all actions, ensuring milestones are met and overall project schedule achieved.
- Oversee construction teams to monitor project progress and address and resolve project challenges/escalations.
- Primary lead on job site
- Has knowledge and experience with all trades scope of work
- Maintains positive relationships with subcontractors, and suppliers
- Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately. Ensures all company employees and contractors are adhering to the company’s safety policy.
- Creates site logistic plans and maintains an organized, clean job site
- Manage the project through to successful and timely completion – finishing with lessons learned documentation to be taken to the following project.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in high-rise / mid-rise residential projects as a Site Superintendent.
- Experience managing a range of different projects simultaneously.
- Organized with a systematic approach to achieving accuracy and efficiency.
- Up to date safety training including: Working at Heights, WHMIS & First Aid.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities.
Salary for the role will depend on previous experience, but it will range from $100K-$150K plus benefits. This is an excellent opportunity to join a very busy Construction Manager and work on some very exciting high-rise projects in Downtown Toronto.
