Greater Vancouver based Real Estate Developer and Builder are immediately hiring a Structural/Formwork Superintendent for multiple high-rise tower projects in construction and in the pipeline for the local market.
Strong development pipeline of high-rise/mid-rise residential projects with commercial aspects throughout the Vancouver and Lower Mainland areas. Candidates must have experience with high-rise concrete residential/commercial projects as a Structural Superintendent.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Project Manager and Site Superintendent to lead on-site concrete/structural operations for assigned projects.
- Assist Superintendent with schedule updates for scope of work as required throughout.
- Attend weekly meetings ensuring quality control, timely completion of work and adherence to implemented on-site safety protocols.
- Provide value engineering and information for site issues as they arise working with all relevant parties to ensure the best solution.
- Strong experience in leading concrete scopes of work on high-rise projects.
- Competent to complete and train junior staff with budget tracking, change orders, RFI’s, progress reports and contract compliance.
- Outgoing communicator who can build and maintain a positive work environment ensuring collective achievement of goals.
- Strong software proficiency for schedules and construction management.
- Skilled problem solver who is highly organized and consistently hit’s project deadlines.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-7 years minimum in a Structural Superintendent role leading concrete scopes of work for high-rise residential projects – Candidates must have completed at least 2 projects.
- BSc in Construction Management or Engineering or equivalent years of hands-on experience in high-rise concrete scopes of work.
- Strong communicator both verbal and written who can build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors and all internal/external team members throughout the construction process for future benefit and immediate success.
- Good software proficiency for schedules, value engineering and construction management use.
