Our client who is recognized for large-scale projects in buildings, heavy civils, infrastructure, and renovation works, is looking to add a superintendent/senior superintendent with 10-15 years of experience to their operations in Toronto, ON.
Under the project manager’s supervision, the superintendent leads a work team and ensures the efficient running of large-scale project work on site.
Responsibilities
- Managing all activities related to the execution of construction work;
- Correctly interpret plans and specifications to ensure compliance with the schedule;
- Overseeing subcontractor’s performance and progress
- Ensure the quality of work performed is of the highest standards
- Ensure the implementation and enforcement of the health and safety policies at work
- Participating in site meetings
- Completing the log sheet of the work and quantities.
- Organizing materials, equipment, and schedule
Requirements
- Educated in civil engineering/construction trade a strong asset
- Strong communication, organization, and team motivation skills
- Understanding of all construction laws
- Completed projects $25m – $500m
Bilingual with French/English would be an asset but not essential
Must have experience working within Canada to be considered
