Our client is a Facilities management company that is working on multiple projects around the Leinster region. They are expanding their team & looking to take on a Health & Safety Officer
About the role:
- Collaborate closely with the Manager to ensure that all H&S compliance requirements are met in accordance with legislative regulations and guidelines.
- Carry out new risk assessments and method statements for all required activities, as well as review existing ones, and ensure databases are kept up to date and accessible.
- Conduct H&S audits and inspections of the organization’s offices and sites, as well as provide feedback to stakeholders on key risk areas in order to promote continuous improvement.
- Make certain that all accidents, incidents, and near misses are documented, investigated, and reported in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Maintain an up-to-date register of all approved chemicals and ensure corresponding MSDS sheets/COSHH assessments are on file, up to date and accessible to employees.
- Conduct COSHH assessments on all chemicals with which our employees come into contact.
- Assist the Management in the management and improvement of the organisation’s Integrated Management System (9001, 14001, 45001), ensuring all related documents are reviewed and kept up to date.
- When necessary, communicate with and provide information to H&S regulatory bodies (HSA/HSE).
- Create and deliver training and development programmes .
What you need to apply:
- A full, clean driving license
- Relevant experience in an Health & Safety role
- Health & Safety / environmental qualification essential e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH
- Auditing certification, such as IRCA, is preferred.
