SSA is looking for a Health and Safety Officer to work on-site in Kildare. This is a full-time job with a Tech company. 

About the company:

Our client is well-known and well-respected in the Technologies industry, they are globally recognized and have manufacturing plants around the world. They are setting up their Irish Operations and looking for an experienced Health & Safety Officer. 

About the role:

  • Salary €45,000 – €55,000 + Package for the correct candidate 
  • Position primarily based in Kildare Town 
  • Joining a large multinational Company

Your main duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct risk assessments on workplace practices and review how risks can be reduced regularly. 
  • Outlining safe operational procedures that identify and address all relevant hazards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate stock levels of PPE equipment on both sites.
  • Making necessary changes to workplace practices ensuring their safety and compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Developing internal H&S policies and preparing health and safety strategies.
  • Organizing and leading in-house training for managers and employees on H&S issues, risks, and appropriate training (manual handling etc.) Induction training is included.
  • Keeping accurate records of workplace inspection findings and producing reports with recommendations for improvement
  • Recording near misses and actual accidents, as well as producing statistics for management.
  • Keeping up with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all legislation and developments affecting the employer’s industry.
  • Ensuring the safe installation of equipment and the safe execution of workplace practices among employees. 

To be successful in your application you will ideally possess the following

  • Strong communication skills. 
  • 2+ years of Experience is essential.
  • Residing in Ireland is a Necessity.
