SSA are recruiting a Health & Safety Officer on behalf of a Tier 1 Main Contractor within the Midlands. The role will be site-based on a landmark project within the Midlands. This is a permanent position in the Midlands within the company.

Our client is a Main Contractor who has a demonstrated portfolio of landmark projects and has a continued pipeline of work both within the Midlands and across Ireland.

About the role:

  • Site – based role across Residential Projects.

Main duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Oversee and review site performance.
  • Ensure that personnel are understanding of their duties and responsibilities.
  • Ensure that the company’s HSQE policies, procedures and systems are adhered to.
  • Report on the overall safety performance of project teams and subcontractors and provide feedback on this.
  • Complete Toolbox Talks.
  • Participate in the promotion of health-related risks and on-site training.
  • Ensure that inspection records are maintained and preserved for all activities and plant equipment.
  • Actively consider health and safety strategies and assist in further developing policies.

To be successful in your application you will possess the following

  • Minimum 2 years experience within health and safety required.
  • Main Contractor Experience preferred but not essential.
  • Qualification in a related discipline.
