SSA are currently seeking an experienced HR Manager for a leading Electrical Contractor based in Galway.
The purpose of the HR Manager is to be provide direction and leadership to business Directors adding strategic value to the organisation in order to deliver the best possible people and performance outcomes.

About the role:
As the HR Manager, you role will be to facilitate the achievement of business objectives and strategy. You will develop a working knowledge of assigned business culture, employee needs and tailoring their approach to create positive impact. You will ensure that policies and practices are applied consistently and provide direction and guidance on same. You will deliver HR updates, induction and policy related workshops to the organisation as required and manage ongoing occupational health reviews. You will collaborate with L&D function in the design and/or delivery of learning interventions.
Position requirements:
- A third level qualification in Human Resources – Essential
- Experience working within the Construction sector – Preferable.
- A minimum of 2 years within the HR field working at leadership level -Essential.
- A thorough knowledge of current Irish and EU legislation relating to Employment Law -Essential
- Ability to influence at varying levels across the organization and ability to interact with executive leadership
- Strong knowledge of HR policies & procedures
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in Data Protection (GDPR) and Health & Safety requirements – Preferable
- Strong problem solving, negotiation & influencing skills
- Excellent written, and verbal communication skills
