About the role:

SSA are currently recruiting a Junior Procurement Specialists / Buyer to join one of the countries leading Construction construction firms.
The successful candidate will be based from their head office in either Limerick or Mayo. The role will assisting with a large number of contracts and to deliver projects across the Commercial, Industrial and Pharmaceutical sectors.

As part of a busy team you will get exposure to the full project lifecycle on numerous contracts. It is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain relevant project experience and be given a clear path towards progression. You will be based from the office and working closely alongside a  Senior Procurement Specialist who will offer training and development. 

€30,000 – €40,000 Salary (DOE)

Key responsibilities:

  • Placing of Purchase Orders onto purchase system in line with company procedures
  • Maintaining the purchase system, updating/maintaining relevant data, preparing reports and other business tools
  • Liaising with suppliers in relation to deliveries and order dates
  • Highlight risk and supply issues to project team
  • Interacting with Project teams regarding purchasing and supplier queries
  • Support the Finance department with supplier and cost reporting information, and resolving of invoice queries

Position requirements:

  • Posses a relevant 3rd level qualification in a Purchasing/Supply Chain or related Discipline
  • Ideally will have 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Prior construction experience would be beneficial (not essential).
  • Good organisational skills and IT literacy, including use of Microsoft Office Suite
