I am seeking an Building Services Coordinator/MEP Coordinator on behalf of a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, who are looking to grow their Data Centre team in Dublin.

The company in question are a highly reputable Tier 1 Main Contractor who have delivered some of Ireland most high-profile projects. They have a healthy portfolio of ongoing work, and a number of new projects in the pipeline, so this is a long-term, permanent opportunity providing job security during these challenging times.
Due to a number of recent project awards, they are now looking to grow their Data Centre team in Dublin, so in this position you will have the opportunity to boost your Data Centre experience, as well as gaining experience on various other high-profile projects thereafter.
Your main duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- To interface with a multi discipline project team, to advise the team and fully integrate and coordinate the MEP works into the overall construction process.
- To manage the MEP works team and sub-contractors acting as the facilitator between the contractors’ project team and the sub-contract works.
- Interface with the client in all aspects of the MEP works.
- To monitor all phases of the sub contract works, including, planning, engineering, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate the sub contract packages with the main contract works and other sub-contractors with weekly meetings.
- Instigate the planning of the sub contract works and review of progress against targets set.
- Ensure that the works are installed in accordance with the drawings, specifications and other requirements of the contract.
- Monitor progress of all aspects of the work to ensure completion on time. Notify the project team, client and sub-contractor of any delays to the works.
- Ensure that the works are undertaken in a safe manner utilising the project specific safety plan.
To be successful in your application you will possess the following:
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering
- 2+ years post graduate experience
- Experience with either a Main Contractor, M&E Subcontractor, or Building Services Consultancy
- Desire to progress into management position
- Excellent communication skills
