My Client are a leading worldwide Engineering Consultancy who are seeking an experienced NEC Project Manager on a contract basis to be part of the Project Team, based in Cork delivering project and programme management commissions for their client.
The successful candidate will be the NEC Project Manager on a public infrastructure project spanning Munster but will be based in Cork with minimal travel required. The project will run for the duration of 2.5 years.
Responsibilities:
- This client-facing role that involves managing delivery of commissions being delivered both by my client and by other professional firms.
- Leading the effective and efficient delivery of commissions, managing the performance of the technical team consisting of both internal and external project team resources, in full compliance with my clients Management System requirements.
- Managing stakeholders and the client expectations and relationship
- Delivering work to a high standard of client satisfaction and profitably for my client.
- Performing the role of NEC Project Manager on a project spanning the southwest of Ireland.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high calibre and experienced Professional Project Manager, ideally (not essential) with a technical background with the clear potential to develop.
- Minimum of a level 8 degree in engineering, construction or related field.
- Chartership a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrable project management experience having successfully led teams on design and/or construction of building and/or infrastructure programmes/projects.
- At least 15 years relevant postgraduate experience including at minimum 3 but ideally 5 years in a NEC Project Manager Role.
- Experience of delivering projects from a client project management perspective.
- Satisfactory experience as the NEC Project Manager of a NEC ECC – Option C Target Contract with Activity Schedule with a capital value of at least €10m.
- Shall hold a current certificate as an accredited (ICE) NEC4 ECC Project Manager on or before the commencement of site works.
- Demonstrable experience of working closely with the design team in their development and delivery of the optimum design solution to meet the client’s brief.
- Sound knowledge of developments and drivers in the sector.
- Good commercial and contractual awareness.
- Experience of administering construction contracts.
- Strong client and stakeholder relationship management skills and experience.
Benefits:
- €80p/h to €87p/h – Dependent on Experience
- Equal to €155,000 to €170,000 annual salary
- Access to site vehicle if required
