I am seeking a Site Manager on behalf of a highly reputable mid-sized Main Contractor in Dublin. The company in question is a family-owned business with a very good reputation within the industry. They have a strong portfolio of ongoing and planned projects, and are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to join their team in Dublin. You will be based on an industrial-type project in West Dublin initially. The project incorporates 2 warehouses in an industrial park, along with adjoining office space. Total value of the project is circa €10m.
Your main duties will include, but not be limited to;
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for complete day to day operations of the site, including the coordination and supervision of on-site personnel and sub-contractors. You will have sole responsibility for the resolution of any day to day issues arising on site during the duration of the project.
- Supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project on time and within budget, whilst maintaining high safety, environmental and quality standards
- Liaising with Project Manager, site personnel, commercial team, and other relevant personnel
- Managing sub-contractors, engineering and operational staff and personnel on site
- Inspect works in progress/completed work to make sure complies with project specifications
- Handle onsite incidents and matters in a proactive manner
- Managing and implementing of the Safety Management System
To be successful in your application you will possess the following;
- Trade Qualifications (Carpentry), or Construction related qualification
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office Package
- Extensive experience in management of sub-contractors.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and manage personnel.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience work at Foreman/Site Manager level
