My Client are a leading International Engineering Consultancy who are seeking a strong Structural Engineer (Design) who wants the opportunity to apply their creative skills on challenging, high profile projects in their stimulating, inter-disciplinary design studio in Dublin.
The successful Structural Engineer will have a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of challenging infrastructure designs in residential, education, retail, workplace, hotel and aviation.


  • Prepare structural design calculations and 3D analysis modelling of projects from the concept stage through to the construction stage.
  • Interface with the C&S team and other multi-disciplinary teams within the office.
  • Express creative ideas through sketching.
  • Communicate effectively to build firm working relationships with architects, engineers, clients and contractors.
  • Attend stakeholder & site meetings when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or other relevant discipline.
  • 3 to 4 years post-qualification experience in structural design ideally gained within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong experience in structural design of building structures.
  • Strong experience in software related to building structures (Tekla or SCIA).
  • Capable of working on his/ her own initiative with limited supervision.
  • An ability to manage the day to day assigned design tasks on projects.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about delivering design projects.
  • Organised and methodical with particular attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work to tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Have a pragmatic approach and possess strong problem-solving techniques.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with other design team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with an ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
