Accountant / Civil Construction (2-3 Years Experience)
Location: Abbotsford
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum

Role Overview: As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing key financial functions, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, job costing, hire purchase management, and general accounting tasks. You will play an essential role in maintaining the accuracy of financial transactions, ensuring the smooth operation of the company's finances, and supporting the overall accounting function.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and process Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Perform job costing to ensure project profitability.
• Oversee hire purchase accounting and related transactions.
• Handle general accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
• Collaborate with other departments to support operational and financial goals.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes.
• Experience in job costing and hire purchase accounting is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with general accounting functions, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office.
