Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation of BIM technologies for MEP disciplines in construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, industry standards, and client specifications.
Develop and manage the BIM execution plan for MEP systems, including the creation, maintenance, and modification of 3D BIM models.
Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to develop accurate and coordinated MEP models for construction.
Manage and mentor BIM technicians and MEP engineers to ensure the quality and consistency of the BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within the MEP systems through BIM software tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360).
Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure that BIM processes are integrated into the overall project schedule and budget.
Ensure compliance with relevant BIM standards, codes, and regulations, and maintain documentation of BIM workflows and processes.
Conduct BIM training and provide support to project teams in the effective use of BIM software tools.
Monitor the use of BIM on-site, ensuring that construction teams and contractors follow the BIM models for accurate installations and coordination.
Assist in generating and maintaining as-built BIM models for facilities management and operation post-construction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
Proven experience as a BIM Manager, specifically with a focus on MEP systems within the construction industry.
Proficiency with BIM software tools such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and related MEP software applications.
Strong understanding of MEP systems design, construction, and coordination processes.
In-depth knowledge of BIM standards, protocols, and best practices (e.g., ISO 19650, AIA BIM guidelines).
Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and coordinating across various project stakeholders.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex BIM-related issues in a collaborative environment.
Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices related to MEP systems.
Relevant BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) is a plus.
