Civil Engineering Technologist - Intermediate

Primary Duties:
  • Creating intricate Civil 3D models
  • Drafting plan, profile, section, and earthworks drawings
  • Actively enhancing design and modeling methodologies
  • Collaborating with a diverse team including engineers, planners, and technical and administrative personnel
  • Conducting occasional on-site work as necessary (approximately 80% office-based and 20% field-based)
Skills / Requirements:
  • Completion of a diploma program in Civil Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or equivalent
  • More than four years of experience in Land Development, specifically in subdivision and site plan development, transportation, and municipal infrastructure
  • Proficiency in designing and drafting grading, servicing, and stormwater management systems
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and AutoDesk Civil 3D
  • Familiarity with Ontario Building Code (OBC) and municipal/provincial standards is highly desirable
  • Exceptional drafting abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and precision
  • Dedication to continuous professional and personal development, with a willingness to acquire new skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal aptitudes
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a team setting
  • Eligibility for registration with the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT); possession of C.Tech. or C.E.T. designation is advantageous.
