Job Description

Our client is seeking a Civil Superintendent to play a pivotal role in overseeing diverse projects, managing multiple construction sites, coordinating subcontractors, and championing the implementation of the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies across all projects.
 
Primary Responsibilities:

1. Supervise daily onsite construction activities across various sites.
2. Provide technical guidance to work crews, ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
3. Review shoring, architectural, and mechanical drawings, with proficiency in basic layouts.
4. Ensure alignment of onsite activities with Issued for Construction (IFC) drawings.
5. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including project teams, company personnel, engineers, and contractors.
6. Conduct value engineering, participate in planning, scheduling, and contribute to rough estimating budgets.
7. Report daily production rates to the Project Manager.
8. Regularly assess the execution and performance of construction activities, liaising with the Operation Manager.
9. Adhere to and strive to outperform the project budget.
10. Manage the construction team's interactions and responsibilities.
11. Promote and monitor compliance with the project safety program and environmental protection requirements in collaboration with the Health & Safety Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Superintendent role.
• Proficient understanding of excavation and shoring methods.
• Ability to comprehend project scheduling and cost control.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting project specifications and engineering drawings.
• Strong work ethic, demonstrating a commitment to completing tasks efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and address discrepancies.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office operations.
