Job Title: Construction Site Superintendent (Experience in Student Residence)

Location: Peterborough, Ontario

Salary: Up to $140,000 per year

Experience: Minimum 7 years as a Site Superintendent

A leading general contractor is currently seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to oversee the delivery of a new student residence project in Peterborough, Ontario. This is a key leadership role for a professional who excels at managing complex mid- to high-rise residential builds with a strong focus on quality, safety, and schedule.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all on-site construction activities from start to completion.
• Manage and coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers, and site staff to ensure project milestones are met.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with the project manager, consultants, and ownership team to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
• Ensure quality control standards are met throughout all phases of construction.
• Maintain detailed and accurate daily site logs, progress reports, and safety documentation.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in Ontario.
• Proven track record delivering student residence, mid-rise, or high-rise residential projects.
• Deep understanding of the Ontario Building Code and construction safety regulations (OHSA).
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
• Proficient in reading construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to the site in Peterborough.
