Contract Administrator Modular Construction

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join a growing and innovative modular construction business based in South Brisbane.

Working across projects ranging from $3M to $20M, this role will play a key part in managing the commercial and contractual requirements of projects from commencement through to completion.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Contracts Administrator looking to move into a more commercially focused role within a progressive construction environment.
The Role You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and clients, taking ownership of key contractual and commercial processes including:
  • Managing subcontractor tendering, procurement and engagement
  • Reviewing contracts and identifying commercial and contractual risks
  • Preparing and assessing progress claims, variations and contractual claims
  • Managing subcontractor payments and variation claims
  • Supporting project forecasting, cash flow and monthly financial reporting
  • Managing head contract and subcontract correspondence
  • Assisting with project establishment, scopes, programming and procurement
  • Building strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project stakeholders
  • Working with project and commercial teams to identify cost-effective procurement strategies
  • Ensuring contractual obligations are understood, managed and delivered
About You: To be successful in this position, you will have:
  • Previous experience as a Contracts Administrator within construction, manufacturing or modular construction
  • Strong understanding of subcontractor procurement and contract administration
  • Experience managing progress claims, variations and contractual documentation
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify and manage project risks
  • Experience with project or contract administration systems such as Jobpac, Payapps, Aconex, ProcurePro or similar
  • Strong financial and reporting skills, including forecasting and budget tracking
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration or a related discipline
Modular or prefabricated construction experience is highly desirable, although candidates with strong commercial construction experience will also be considered.
