About the Opportunity We are partnering with a well-established and growing company within the construction and development industry to recruit a dynamic Director of Finance to join their leadership team in Vancouver. This is a high-impact role that will drive strategic decision-making, financial planning, and operational excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to support corporate objectives
• Lead and oversee all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Partner with the executive team to evaluate growth opportunities, risk management, and capital projects
• Manage relationships with external stakeholders including banks, auditors, and legal advisors
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements, and oversee internal controls
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering professional growth and accountability
• Drive financial process improvements, system implementations, and operational efficiencies
• Provide detailed financial insights and recommendations to support construction and development initiatives

Requirements

• CPA designation is required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior financial management or leadership role
• Proven experience in the construction, real estate development, or skilled trades industries
• Strong knowledge of project-based accounting, job costing, and financial controls
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
