Our client, is a global leader in electrification, power generation and energy. Due to continued growth and investment at their Galway facility, they are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead and develop Environmental, Health & Safety standards across the site.

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to: - Provide leadership and direction on all Environmental, Health & Safety matters across the Galway facility.
- Develop, implement and continuously improve EHS management systems and programmes.
- Ensure compliance with all Irish and European EHS legislation, standards and company requirements.
- Lead risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective action programmes.
- Drive a proactive safety culture through employee engagement, training and coaching.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities, auditors and external stakeholders as required.
- Manage environmental compliance activities including waste management, emissions and sustainability initiatives.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Support operational teams in delivering EHS objectives and best practices.
- Lead emergency preparedness planning and response activities across the site.
- Manage EHS audits and ensure closure of findings within agreed timelines
To be successful in your application you will ideally possess the following: - Degree or Diploma qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years' experience in an EHS leadership role within construction, manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical, medical device or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of Irish EHS legislation and ISO management systems.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive a positive safety culture.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Experience managing audits, regulatory inspections and incident investigations.
