Job Description

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities Working as part of the project team, you will support the delivery of electrical works throughout the construction, installation, testing and commissioning stages of the project.

• Assist with the coordination and delivery of electrical installations on site.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, technical submissions and project documentation.
• Coordinate electrical works with mechanical, CSA, controls and commissioning teams.
• Support the installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Assist with RFIs, technical queries, method statements and inspection documentation.
• Monitor electrical works to ensure they are delivered in line with design, programme and quality requirements.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other project stakeholders.
• Assist with identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
• Support the preparation of commissioning records, handover documentation and project reports.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, quality, compliance and health & safety.
• Assist with project planning, progress reporting and coordination.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company procedures, project specifications and health & safety requirements.
• Support the Project Manager and Senior Electrical Engineers with the successful delivery of the project.

Necessary Requirements of the Electrical Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree/Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5+ years’ experience working as an Electrical Engineer within the construction or M&E sector.
• Experience working on large-scale electrical projects is highly desirable.
• Data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, commercial or other mission-critical experience would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of electrical power systems and MV/LV distribution.
• Knowledge of electrical installation, testing and commissioning.
• Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of BMS, EPMS, PLCs, SCADA or electrical control systems would be advantageous.
• Experience with MV/LV systems, UPS, generators and associated electrical equipment would be beneficial.
