- Collaborate with Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and maintain the project schedule, ensuring that milestones and targets are met on time.
- Manage and update document control logs, ensuring adherence to project management processes including change orders, as-built drawings, and final close-out documents.
- Provide regular status updates on the progress of work, contributing to project forecasting, cost control, and efficiency programs.
- Oversee the coordination of equipment and material deliveries, ensuring timely arrivals and proper handling.
- Monitor the work of subcontractors, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.
- Attend site meetings and take detailed meeting minutes, tracking action items and progress.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and progress made, in compliance with project guidelines and standards.
- Proactively identify potential problems or scheduling delays, bringing them to management's attention for resolution.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A background in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least one year of relevant experience. Trade experience is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project; familiarity with scheduling tools like Primavera is a plus.
- Solid experience in interpreting mechanical construction drawings and a strong understanding of commercial project requirements.
- The ability to analyze project needs, identify potential issues early, and take the initiative to ensure smooth project execution.
