Our client, a leading engineering firm, is looking for a self-motivated and hardworking
Electrical Project Manager to join their growing team in Downtown Toronto. In this role, you will act as the primary point person for planning, executing, and delivering high-impact electrical projects within the building industry.

The Opportunity
Location: Downtown Toronto, ON
Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000
Key Responsibilities - Project Oversight: Manage electrical engineering projects of varying complexity, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective completion.
- Client Relations: Foster new business opportunities while maintaining and growing existing client relationships.
- Technical Leadership: Lead and mentor technical staff, ensuring all project deliverables meet professional quality standards.
- Financial & Resource Management: Track project schedules, budget status, and manpower utilization; identify and escalate the need for additional services or fees.
- Design & Quality Control: Analyze design proposals for cost-effective solutions, prepare specification reports, and assist with shop drawing reviews.
- Site Coordination: Conduct site visits every 2–3 months during the construction phase and ensure seamless mechanical and electrical coordination.
What You Bring to the Table - Education: A Degree in Electrical Engineering (or a relevant discipline) is preferred. A diploma in Project Management or LEED accreditation is considered a strong asset.
- Professional Designation: P.Eng. license (or actively working toward it) or a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation.
- Experience: 10+ years of industry-related experience, including at least 1–2 years specifically in a Project Management capacity.
- Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of engineering contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers, specifically within the construction sector.
- Soft Skills: Advanced negotiation, conflict resolution, and diplomatic skills. You should be comfortable communicating with everyone from technical staff to upper management.
- Adaptability: The ability to pivot with shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
