Our client is a leading Construction Manager and General Contractor based in Surrey, BC who also works throughout Western Canada. Their core business is commercial construction and renovations of financial institutions, restaurants, offices and retail spaces.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Training in estimating procedures and quantity survey
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and On-Screen take-off software
• Must have excellent command of the English language, verbal and written
• Post-secondary, technical education (BCIT) or similar in a construction or industry-related program
• Previous experience estimating commercial construction projects would be an asset

  
Responsibilities:

• Strategic planning to determine best approach to pricing and tendering
• Tender document review to determine necessary scopes and subcontractors
• Solicitation of contractor bids
• Distribution of plans to qualified bidders
• Data entry of contractor proposals
• Follow-up and review of contractor bids
• Finalize tender documents and submissions for projects ranging in value from $500K- $20M
• Manage and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors
