Job Description: Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator with Asphalt expertise to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating asphalt projects for heavy civil construction. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs, preparing bids, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Estimation: Utilize your expertise in asphalt construction to accurately estimate project costs, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare comprehensive and competitive bids for asphalt-related projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with asphalt projects and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to gather necessary information and ensure alignment throughout the estimation process.
  • Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost analysis to optimize project profitability while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance estimation processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in asphalt estimation for heavy civil construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt materials, construction methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
