About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Advisor to join a reputable civil contractor delivering infrastructure projects across the Lower Mainland. This is a great opportunity for a site experienced safety professional who’s ready for more responsibility, beyond basic CSO tasks but not yet at the full HSE Manager level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor safety procedures on multiple active civil construction sites
  • Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety audits
  • Assist with project-specific safety planning and pre-task hazard assessments
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting
  • Work directly with site teams to reinforce a culture of safety
  • Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC, company standards, and client expectations
  • Maintain all safety documentation, site signage, and reporting systems
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientations for site staff and subcontractors
  • Support the roll-out of health & safety initiatives and training programs
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5+ years in a civil construction safety role 
  • CSO designation (NCSO or BCCSA) – Additional safety certifications an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regs
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
  • Comfortable with boots-on-the-ground site safety and working alongside superintendents and foremen
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple sites
