Our client is looking for a Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join their maintenance team.
In this hands-on role, you’ll service, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy equipment — ensuring the company’s machinery stays safe, reliable, and job-ready. You’ll work both in the shop and out in the field, supporting active job sites when needed.

Our client is looking for a Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join their maintenance team.
In this hands-on role, you’ll service, repair, and maintain a variety of heavy equipment — ensuring the company’s machinery stays safe, reliable, and job-ready. You’ll work both in the shop and out in the field, supporting active job sites when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy civil construction equipment (excavators, graders, loaders, trucks, compactors, etc.)
- Conduct inspections and identify mechanical and electrical issues
- Keep detailed maintenance and repair records
- Respond to breakdowns in the field and complete repairs efficiently
- Work collaboratively with operators and site supervisors to minimize downtime
- Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards
- Red Seal Heavy-Duty Mechanic (or equivalent) certification preferred
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance (civil, roadbuilding, or related industries an asset)
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- A valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3 an asset)
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
