SSA is recruiting on behalf of a leading ICI construction and design-build firm located in Stoney Creek. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join their growing team and support the delivery of commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects across Ontario.
About the Role
This is a full-time, in-office position that plays a key role in preconstruction, working closely with project managers and leadership to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates. The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of experience estimating in the Ontario market, with a solid understanding of local construction methods, trade pricing, and tendering procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for ICI construction projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements for bid preparation
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Perform quantity takeoffs using estimating software
- Develop cost breakdowns, budgets, and tender submissions
- Participate in scope reviews, bid closings, and hand-off meetings to project teams
- Maintain historical cost data and support value engineering efforts
- 5+ years of estimating experience in the Ontario ICI construction sector
- Strong knowledge of local market pricing, trade relationships, and tendering practices
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and estimating software
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and communication abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience
