Job Description

The successful applicant should have a strong technical background in water and wastewater treatment and collection. You will manage junior engineers and project team members, support other areas of the business, and foster strong relationships with clients whilst pursuing all relevant business development opportunities in the water and wastewater sector.

Qualifications:

• Civil Engineering Degree with minimum 5 years of Canadian work experience.
• Previous design experience with water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Design experience with water and wastewater pump stations, treatment plants, distribution and collection systems, storage, and lift stations.
• Experience in water and wastewater master planning for municipalities, First Nations, and/or private sector
• Membership in the Association of Professional Engineer (PEO).
• Knowledge of Canadian and Ontario design codes and guidelines.
• Strong English, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time-management skills and self-initiative to meet deadlines.
• Client and government approval process experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Designing water and wastewater treatment infrastructures, along with water and wastewater master planning for municipalities, First Nations, and private sector clients.
• Preparing conceptual and detailed designs, calculations, layouts, and specifications.
• Managing multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
• Providing input on proposals, feasibility studies, designs, and other assignments.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of engineering procedures and standards.
• Mentoring junior staff and overall team building.
