Intermediate Civil Engineer/Project Manager Burnaby, BC Salary: $120K - $140K
We are supporting a well-established, employee-owned consulting engineering firm in their search for an Intermediate Engineer / Project Manager. This role is suited to someone who enjoys delivering practical engineering solutions tailored to client needs, while continuing to grow technically and professionally within a collaborative team environment.
The successful candidate will take ownership of their work, build strong relationships through reliability and technical competence, and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary project team. What You'll Do - Lead and support municipal and Indigenous community infrastructure planning, design, and construction projects
- Work within multidisciplinary teams on a range of engineering and planning assignments
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior staff on project delivery
- Support client relationship management and business development activities
- Prepare proposals for both competitive and non-competitive opportunities
- Assist with community engagement activities, including workshops and supporting materials
- Complete engineering design calculations and coordinate with CAD teams on drawings
- Prepare technical reports for infrastructure planning and design studies
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications
- Prepare construction tender documents
- Administer construction contracts (CCDC/MMCD experience considered an asset)
- Support or lead construction inspections, including QA/QC activities
What You Bring - Positive, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline
- 8+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Consulting experience required; land development/subdivision experience is an asset
- P.Eng. in BC or eligible for immediate registration
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with Indigenous communities or Indigenous Cultural Safety training is an asset
- Familiarity with Indigenous Services Canada funding processes is an asset
- Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility
- Valid driver's licence in good standing
- Comfortable with field work, including travel to remote locations and varying site conditions
- Willingness to travel and spend time in communities as required
