I’m seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a reputable Building & Civil Engineering Contractor in Clare.
The company works across a wide range of sectors and, due to a strong volume of ongoing and upcoming projects, are now looking to expand their commercial team.
About the role:
This is an office-based position working closely with the Directors and site teams. The successful candidate will gain excellent training and development while being exposed to a variety of building and civil engineering projects. The role will include estimating, preparation of BOQs and tender submissions, issuing and managing tender enquiries, handling project and monthly variations, assisting with final accounts, budgeting, and working closely with site/project managers. Some procurement duties will also form part of the role.
With a healthy pipeline of work in place, this is a genuine career opportunity for the right person. A competitive salary is on offer which is negotiable DOE.

A family-run business with a close-knit team, they typically deliver projects up to €5m in value across both building and civil sectors.
Current and upcoming projects include a number of wastewater treatment plant developments across the region, a school extension project, refurbishment works for a third-level education facility, healthcare refurbishment works within a major hospital setting, and multiple nursing home refurbishment projects across the Midwest area.

Position requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- 3 - 6 years’ experience (Contractor or Consultancy)
- Exposure to civils projects beneficial
- Strong numerical and communication skills
- Keen interest in developing a career in Quantity Surveying
