Intermediate Water Resources Engineer

We are seeking an Intermediate Water Resources Engineer to join our clients well-established consulting engineering team in Mississauga.

About the Role:

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment working alongside experienced engineers on a wide range of water resources projects across Canada and beyond.

You will be involved in both technical delivery and project coordination, with exposure to clients and the opportunity to take ownership of smaller projects. The role offers strong career development within a supportive and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and modelling
  • Support the design of hydraulic structures, water conveyance, and storage systems
  • Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals and bid packages
  • Contribute to client presentations and meetings
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Help maintain and build strong client relationships
  • Manage small projects, including budgets, schedules, and delivery
  • Mentor and support junior staff where required
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Water Resources focus preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in water resources engineering
  • Strong experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and analysis
  • Familiar with industry-standard modelling software
  • Experience managing aspects of project delivery (budgets, schedules, coordination)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French is an asset)
  • Able to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
  • Eligible for (or registered as) a Professional Engineer in Ontario (and/or other Canadian provinces)
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required
