We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a leading Tier 1 General Contractor delivering large-scale data centre infrastructure. This is a strong job opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer who wants to take on a senior site role overseeing complex mechanical systems on a flagship project in Germany.
�� The Role As Mechanical Engineer, you'll be responsible for the full scope of on-site mechanical works — HVAC, cooling systems, plumbing and firefighting — coordinating a team of direct staff and subcontractors from installation through to commissioning. You'll work closely with civil and electrical teams and report directly into senior management.
�� Key Responsibilities ▸ Planning, scheduling and assigning daily work to the mechanical team and subcontractors ▸ Supervising installation of chillers, AHUs, pumps and all mechanical systems on site ▸ Maintaining safety standards and full compliance with mechanical codes and permits to work ▸ Tracking scope changes, engineering changes, NCRs and technical queries ▸ Reviewing method statements and work procedures; recommending improvements ▸ Coordinating with civil and electrical disciplines to ensure smooth workflow and avoid clashes
�� What You'll Bring ▸ Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering ▸ 10+ years' experience in a comparable Mechanical Engineer role ▸ Data centre construction experience — essential ▸ Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling systems, firefighting and plumbing ▸ Fluent in Spanish and English
�� What's on Offer ▸ Salary: €50,000 – €70,000 base ▸ Leaving allowance: €28,000+ ▸ 5% pension contribution ▸ Rotation: 10 weeks on / 4 weeks off ▸ 23 days annual leave ▸ Shared accommodation or living allowance provided
