Mechanical Project Manager - HVAC, plumbing and fire protection

Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead mechanical engineering projects across commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors. This role focuses on the planning, execution, and delivery of projects from concept through construction, ensuring technical accuracy, on-time delivery, and adherence to budget. You will work closely with engineers, designers, project managers, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality mechanical solutions.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead mechanical engineering projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, from planning through construction closeout.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources while coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Develop and review specifications, concept reports, construction documents, and shop drawings; support tendering and construction phases.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure code compliance.
  • Mentor and guide project teams, providing technical and administrative support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for business growth.
  
Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in consulting mechanical engineering and project management.
  • Strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, with consulting and construction knowledge.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex projects on time and on budget.
  • Excellent technical communication, time management, and coordination skills.
  • Experience in mechanical/electrical coordination and construction oversight is an asset.
  • P.Eng. designation considered an asset.
  
Location: Toronto, Ontario (office-based, with occasional site visits)
  
Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 per year
