My Client is an award winning, highly innovative M&E Engineering Consultancy who are seeking an Principal Electrical Design Engineer to undertake design work and technical project co-ordination in their Dublin office.
The successful Principal Electrical Engineer will lead a busy team providing design and technical services on industry leading Data Centre developments.
Knowledge & Skills: - Lead the Electrical Services design for a variety of Data Centre projects from concept stage to completion.
- Specification and design of Electrical Building Services systems
- Continuous Design & Installation Quality Checks and Control
- Provide fully detailed tender packages / Tender report / analysis / recommendations
- Develop project scope with design team / client
- Uphold the Electrical design standards within the organisation
- Mentoring of engineering staff
- Deep understanding of CIBSE, BS, IS and EN Standards.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of Software
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCAD and REVIT
- Any other engineering analysis software is an advantage.
Education & Experience: - The successful Principal Electrical Engineer will have a Minimum Degree qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- Minimum of 9+ years of Electrical Building Services Consultancy Design experience, ideally with experience in with Data Centre, Industrial or High Tech developments.
- Chartered status a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge & experience working with Revit, exposure to electrical layouts and systems.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, REVIT.
- Familiar with structural, architectural, and electrical models to appreciate space limitations and interferences.
- Demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced environment driven by project deadlines.
- Highly innovative and motivated with an attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients.
- Knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Standards
