Principal Electrical Engineer - Data Centres

My Client is an award winning, highly innovative M&E Engineering Consultancy who are seeking an Principal Electrical Design Engineer to undertake design work and technical project co-ordination in their Dublin office.
The successful Principal Electrical Engineer will lead a busy team providing design and technical services on industry leading Data Centre developments.
  
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Lead the Electrical Services design for a variety of Data Centre projects from concept stage to completion.
  • Specification and design of Electrical Building Services systems
  • Continuous Design & Installation Quality Checks and Control
  • Provide fully detailed tender packages / Tender report / analysis / recommendations
  • Develop project scope with design team / client
  • Uphold the Electrical design standards within the organisation
  • Mentoring of engineering staff
  • Deep understanding of CIBSE, BS, IS and EN Standards.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of Software
  • Working knowledge of Bluebeam, AutoCAD and REVIT
  • Any other engineering analysis software is an advantage.
Education & Experience:
  • The successful Principal Electrical Engineer will have a Minimum Degree qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
  • Minimum of 9+ years of Electrical Building Services Consultancy Design experience, ideally with experience in with Data Centre, Industrial or High Tech developments.
  • Chartered status a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge & experience working with Revit, exposure to electrical layouts and systems.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, REVIT.
  • Familiar with structural, architectural, and electrical models to appreciate space limitations and interferences.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work in a fast-paced environment driven by project deadlines.
  • Highly innovative and motivated with an attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively with both internal and external clients.
  • Knowledge of ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS and EN Standards
