Project Coordinator - Utilities

Location: Langley


Our client is a leading civil company specializing in Utilities. They are dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, and they are looking for a dedicated and organized Project Coordinator to join their team.
  

The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting our civil construction projects in Langley/lower mainland. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  
Key Responsibilities:
  
Project Documentation: Maintain and organize project documentation, including plans, permits, contracts, and change orders.
  
Communication: Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including the project manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
  
Scheduling: Assist in developing project schedules and ensure that project timelines are met. Track progress and report on delays or potential issues.
  
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cost control. Report any budget overruns and assist in cost tracking.
  
Resource Coordination: Coordinate the allocation of resources such as equipment, labor, and materials to support project needs.
  
Quality Control: Ensure that construction work is carried out according to project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  
Risk Assessment: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  
Subcontractor Management: Assist in subcontractor selection, negotiations, and performance monitoring.
  
Health and Safety: Promote and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  
Reporting: Generate regular project status reports, update project documentation, and provide updates to the project manager and other stakeholders.
  
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in project coordination or a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of civil construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Understanding of local construction regulations and permits in Delta.

Additional Information:
  
This is a full-time position based in Langley.
Travel to project sites within the region may be required.
