About the Client
Our client is a leading engineering and construction contractor delivering complex, high-value technical projects in the UK and internationally. The business supports data centres, mission-critical facilities, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, energy and major commercial developments, with a clear focus on safe delivery, technical quality and long-term client relationships.

The successful candidate will take executive ownership of a major project, leading the delivery strategy, client relationship, project team and financial performance from mobilisation through final handover.

This position will work closely with project leadership, commercial, design, planning and supply-chain stakeholders, providing clear ownership of the role's key deliverables and helping the wider team achieve programme, quality, safety and financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
• Set and lead the overall project delivery strategy from mobilisation through completion.
• Take executive responsibility for safety, quality, programme, commercial performance and client satisfaction.
• Build and lead a high-performing multidisciplinary project team.
• Maintain senior relationships with the client, consultants, delivery partners and supply chain.
• Chair project governance, risk and performance reviews, ensuring clear accountability for actions.
• Oversee design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover integration.
• Drive forecast accuracy, cash performance, change recovery and risk mitigation.
• Ensure the project complies with company procedures, contractual obligations and delegated authorities.
• Report performance, key risks and strategic decisions to the executive leadership team.

Candidate Profile
• Proven delivery leadership on major, high-value or technically complex construction and engineering projects.
• Strong commercial, contractual, programme and stakeholder-management capability.
• Track record of building effective teams and maintaining trusted senior client relationships.
• Decisive, accountable and comfortable operating within formal project governance.

Requirements & Experience
• Good understanding of construction health and safety, quality assurance and project controls.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to travel to and work from the High Wycombe location as required.
