Company Overview:
Join a leading developer-builder known for delivering exceptional mixed-use residential projects. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager or Project Director to lead a major development and oversee a talented project team through pre-construction, construction, and project completion phases.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will take charge of a significant multi-phase development currently in pre-construction, with tendering anticipated in Q1 2025 and construction set to commence between Q2 and Q3 2025. The development includes a 40-storey tower and three wood-frame midrise buildings.
Reporting to the VP of Construction, this role involves supervising and mentoring a team of Project Managers (PMs), Assistant Project Managers (APMs), and Project Coordinators, ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, organization, and execution of a major development project from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of PMs, APMs, and Coordinators, fostering professional growth and ensuring team alignment with project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards, driving accountability across the project team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee the tendering and contract award process, ensuring alignment with project timelines and specifications.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively addressing challenges and ensuring adherence to safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assist with other ongoing projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, with a proven track record in large-scale, mixed-use residential or commercial projects.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Deep understanding of construction processes, contracts, scheduling, and budget management.
  • Extensive experience with general contractors (GC) or in developer-builder environments is highly preferred.
  • Established relationships with trade partners and consultants within the Vancouver market.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
Salary up to $190,000
