Project Manager - Construction

A reputable and growing General Contractor is seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial, institutional, and infrastructure construction projects in the Thunder Bay region. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented PM who can manage projects from pre-construction through closeout while working with supportive site and office teams.
What You'll Be Doing

• Manage the full project lifecycle from tender handover to completion
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
• Oversee subcontractor procurement, scopes, and contract administration
• Lead project meetings with consultants, clients, and site teams
• Review drawings, specifications, and shop drawings
• Manage RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project documentation
• Track project financials including forecasting and cost reporting
• Work closely with Site Superintendents to ensure schedule and quality targets are met
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements

What We're Looking For

• 3-7 years of experience as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator on construction projects
• Experience with commercial, institutional, or civil/infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scopes, and project sequencing
• Experience managing project budgets and schedules
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and priorities
• Proficiency in MS Office; scheduling and construction software experience is an asset
