About the Role Our client is seeking a skilled
Project Manager - Civil PM with demonstrable data centre project experience to lead and coordinate the civil and structural phases of a major construction job. Based initially in Düsseldorf and transitioning to Frankfurt after 12 months, this job is ideal for candidates looking to manage high-profile technical builds in the data centre sector. The Project Manager (Bauleiter) will be accountable for quality assurance, health and safety compliance, and will serve as the main liaison between client and site teams.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and coordinate civil and structural teams throughout all project phases
- Oversee site-wide quality assurance and ensure strict health & safety compliance
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and hold regular meetings with stakeholders
- Liaise directly with clients, acting as the primary contact for all civil project enquiries
- Ensure project documentation, reporting, and change management protocols are maintained
- Identify and mitigate risks to keep project delivery on track
- Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to optimize productivity and resources
Key Requirements - Minimum 8 years' experience managing large-scale construction projects, with specific experience in data centre builds
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field
- Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams
- High competency in written and spoken English; German language skills advantageous
- Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management abilities
- Thorough understanding of European health, safety, and project management regulations
- Candidates must have an EU passport or unrestricted right to work in Germany; visa sponsorship unavailable
