About our client:
Our client is an established and growing construction contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its UK team, based in the Gatwick area. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a successful and expanding business, offering strong career progression and the opportunity to deliver high-value construction projects across the South East.
Working closely with a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of projects from design stage through to completion.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Lead one or multiple project teams to ensure projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and in compliance with company procedures and current Health & Safety legislation.
• Support the Project Surveyor in the management and control of contract costs and variations, providing regular cost reports to senior management.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
• Manage and assess subcontractor performance, ensuring quality standards are met and programme targets achieved.
• Proactively manage project risks, identifying and implementing mitigation measures.
• Liaise with design teams to ensure design deliverables are issued accurately and on time.
• Maintain excellent working relationships with senior management, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Oversee planning and scheduling of works, ensuring effective sequencing and coordination.

Skills & Experience Required

• 3rd Level Qualification in Construction or a related discipline.
• 8+ years’ construction experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a Project Manager role.
• Experience working for a recognised main contractor.
• Strong commitment to Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organisational abilities.
• IT literate with proficiency in MS Office and MS Project (or similar planning software).
• Proven experience delivering large-scale Industrial and/or Civils projects, ideally including RC works, earthworks, and underground services.
• Experience delivering projects valued between £3m – £25m, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently when required.
