Our client is in search of a Mechanical Project Manager with 3+ years of experience to join their expanding team. The company covers MEP scopes for both commercial and residential projects.
Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you'll oversee every aspect of designated mechanical projects, from conception to completion. Your role will be pivotal in upholding top-tier safety standards and ensuring client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Craft comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Secure necessary permits and approvals.
- Conduct thorough reviews of contracts, plans, and specifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material procurement.
- Maintain open communication with clients, forepersons, architects, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, address issues promptly, and manage changes effectively.
- Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and make selections.
- Supervise multiple mechanical projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
- Direct and oversee forepersons and technicians to achieve project objectives.
- Assist in communication with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Facilitate meetings with clients and equipment vendors to finalize designs and solutions.
- Provide accurate project estimates and manage client expectations.
- Manage multiple tasks efficiently, handling medium- to large-sized projects.
- Maintain thorough understanding of projects and associated documentation.
- Ensure compliance with documentation requirements set by regulatory authorities.
- Follow up on quoted and completed work to guarantee client satisfaction.
- Participate in project handover meetings with estimators.
- Prepare change orders and approve invoices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, construction management, engineering, or related field OR equivalent extensive experience in managing mechanical projects.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and project management principles.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and negotiation abilities.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in mechanical project management.
- Safety certifications for working in the mechanical field.
- Deep knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- A background in estimation or design would be an asset.
