Job Description

Our client, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team based in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a respected civil engineering and construction contractor delivering infrastructure and groundworks projects across the North East of Scotland.

The Role The Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of multiple projects, ensuring strong cost control and contractual compliance from pre-contract stage through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and management of cost plans, valuations, and final accounts
• Procurement and commercial management of subcontractor packages
• Monitoring project budgets and producing cost forecasts
• Contract administration and change management
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Providing commercial support to operational teams

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Experience within civil engineering, infrastructure, or groundworks
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (NEC experience advantageous)
• Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
