Quantity Surveyor - M&E 
Location: Billericay, Essex

About the Client
Our client is an established M&E contractor delivering building services packages across the South East. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team.

About the Role
You will support the commercial management of mechanical and electrical projects, taking responsibility for procurement, valuations, change control, cost reporting and subcontractor accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor procurement and commercial evaluations
• Prepare valuations, payment applications and cost reports
• Identify, price and manage variations
• Complete measurements and take-offs from drawings
• Maintain CVRs, forecasts and commercial records
• Assess subcontractor applications and prepare payment recommendations
• Support contract administration and commercial correspondence
• Attend project and commercial meetings
• Assist with final accounts and project close-out

Skills and Experience

• Quantity surveying experience within construction
• M&E or specialist subcontractor experience would be beneficial
• Strong numerical and commercial skills
• Good knowledge of Excel and cost reporting
• Ability to manage multiple packages and deadlines
• Clear communication and negotiation skills
