Job Description

The SSA group is looking to speak with rail surveyors to join our clients' teams throughout Queensland. Successful candidates can be based in any location throughout Queensland. Experience in the rail sector is not essential but would be highly desirable. Full training will be provided by our client. 

Experience on roads project and 12D would be advantageous

Responsibilities 

• Assist in conducting rail and track alignment surveys using GPS, total stations, and digital levels.
• Support senior surveyors in the setup, operation, and maintenance of survey equipment.
• Collect, process, and report survey data accurately.
• Perform as-built surveys and assist in setting out works along rail corridors.
• Ensure all surveying activities adhere to health and safety, environmental, and rail corridor requirements.
• Maintain survey records and documentation in line with company and client standards.

What is expected of you? 

• Completing rail shutdown periods and rail contour and detail surveys.
• Based out of any of our clients' QLD offices—Townsville, Airlie, Mackay, Rocky, Gladstone, Agnes Waters, Sunshine Coast, Brisbane or the Gold Coast.
• Travel to the Central Queensland region for shutdown periods will be required.
• 12d knowledge is highly desirable
