Senior Authorised Person role - Leading Utilities contractor

• Working on various Power & Renewable Energy projects including HV Cabling, Substations, BESS, Wind Farms, Solar PV, & Off-Shore cabling schemes;
• Opportunities for further progression

SSA are currently recruiting for a leading Civil Engineering & Utilities contractor who are looking to add several Senior Authorised Persons to their team working across their Power & Renewable Energy portfolio across the UK. 
You’ll primarily be working on 11kV, 33kV, and 132kV systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations in line with Distribution Safety Rules.

• Plan and execute HV switching schedules
• Isolate and earth high voltage apparatus safely
• Issue Permits to Work, Sanctions for Test, and Limitations of Access
• Develop and implement safety documentation and method statements
• Attend client meetings and resolve operational issues
• Mentor junior engineers and support project planning

You will need:

• SAP authorisation at 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV on a UK DNO network (e.g., UKPN, SSE, SPEN, ENWL)
• Experience in substation construction, HV commissioning, or network maintenance
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering, safety regulations, and outage planning
