Job Description

Our client, a multi-billion-dollar contractor, is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their estimating team in the West GTA region. This key role involves working alongside the preconstruction team to identify bid opportunities across the region. The ideal candidate would have strong experience and success in WWTP projects across Southwest Ontario

Key Responsibilities

• Search for proposal and bid opportunities on online portals.
• Support the preparation of project prequalifications and proposals as a subject matter expert.
• Conduct a detailed review and analysis of contract documents before tender closings.
• Assess project risks and opportunities; recommend risk mitigation measures.
• Complete quantity take-offs from plans and drawings.
• Lead and guide the estimating team during tender closings.
• Maintain excellent relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and consultants.

Qualifications

• University degree in Construction or Engineering.
• 5+ years of construction estimating experience with a general contractor in the Ontario region (WWTP experience is an asset)
• Strong understanding of the construction industry and management processes.
• Experience leading junior estimators
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret plans, drawings, sketches, and specifications.
• Superior knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, Timberline, MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar software.
