Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Our client, a global engineering consulting firm dedicated to sustainable and innovative solutions, is looking for a motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their Edmonton team. This is a full service environment, from field exploration and lab testing through to designing and managing construction of complex geotechnical structures. You'll work closely with a local team of 30 geotechnical professionals in Edmonton, backed by a wider regional team of over 200 people.

Your opportunity:
  • Work in an innovative environment, using tools like UAVs and AI integrated solutions, with exposure to the firm's Innovation Office and Digital Center of Excellence
  • Build client relationships and deliver tailored solutions based on their needs
  • Lead and manage small to mid sized geotechnical projects from proposal through completion, covering planning, analysis, reporting, and client communication
  • Apply your technical expertise to complex analyses, mentor junior staff, and ensure high quality deliverables
  • Lead and coordinate small project teams, fostering collaboration and growth
  • Contribute to process improvement and the advancement of technical capabilities

Education and experience:
  • Post graduate degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized university
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in geotechnical consulting
  • Valid Canadian driver's licence with access to a vehicle
  • Eligible to live and work in Canada
  • Based in Edmonton or willing to relocate
