SSA is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor for a landmark healthcare project in Wexford.

About the role:

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will join the commercial team on one of the South East's largest live construction projects. You will be responsible for the commercial management of packages from procurement through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered on budget while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include:

• Commercial management of subcontract packages
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget management
• Procurement and subcontractor account management
• Managing valuations, variations and final accounts
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Liaising with site management, clients and design teams
• Assisting in the successful commercial delivery of a major healthcare development
• Supporting junior members of the commercial team where appropriate

Position requirements: Candidates with either of the following backgrounds will be considered:

Option 1

• 1–2 years' experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level
• Previous experience with a Main Contractor
• Salary: €75,000 – €85,000 DOE

OR

Option 2

• 4–5 years' experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level
• Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects
• Salary: €85,000 – €95,000 DOE

For both:

• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Main Contractor experience is essential
• Valid working rights within Ireland
