About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Site Agent to support the delivery of a major civil engineering project in the Didcot area. You will work closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure day-to-day operations run safely, efficiently and to programme, while maintaining excellent standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate day-to-day operations on site to deliver assigned works safely, on time and within quality standards.
  • Supervise subcontractors and site teams to ensure work is delivered in line with method statements, drawings and programme requirements.
  • Monitor site activities and progress, reporting regularly to the Project Manager.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling and resource requirements.
  • Prepare and review site documentation including RAMS, daily reports, quality records and inspection test plans (ITPs).
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards at all times.
  • Maintain accurate site records, as-built information and contractual documentation.
  • Facilitate site meetings, briefings and toolbox talks with the workforce.
  • Liaise with clients, designers, stakeholders and supply chain as required.
  • Identify and raise issues/risks promptly and assist in problem-solving to maintain progress.
Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Site Agent (or in a similar supervisory role) on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
  • Sound technical understanding of construction methods, contract requirements and site delivery.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and method statements.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management capability on site.
  • Proactive approach to safety and quality.
  • Competent in preparing and maintaining site documentation.
  • Relevant construction qualification (e.g., NVQ, HND, Degree) preferred.
  • Valid CSCS card (or equivalent) required.
  • Full UK driving licence.
