Site Superintendent – Ground-Up Construction �� Ottawa, ON

�� Salary up to $140,000 (based on experience)

A well-established General Contractor with a strong pipeline of work in the Ottawa region is looking for an experienced Site Superintendent to lead ground-up construction projects from start to finish.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to run a site, push schedules, keep trades accountable, and maintain a safe, organized project environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead all on-site construction activities for ground-up builds
• Develop and manage the project schedule with the Project Manager
• Coordinate all subcontractors, trades, and site logistics
• Enforce health & safety standards and lead daily toolbox talks
• Conduct site meetings and maintain strong communication with PMs, consultants, and inspectors
• Monitor quality control and ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications
• Identify and resolve site issues proactively to avoid delays
• Track site progress and report on milestones, manpower, and schedule
• Ensure inspections and deficiencies are handled efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and productive job site

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent on ground-up construction projects
• Experience on commercial, institutional, multi-residential, or mixed-use projects
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and site coordination
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades and keep projects on track
• Excellent knowledge of Ontario building codes and safety regulations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Tech-comfortable (email, schedules, site reporting tools)
