Traffic Engineer (2–5 Years Experience) | Transport & Traffic

I have an excellent opportunity for a Traffic Engineer based in Melbourne with one of our clients in the Transport & Traffic. A very well-established business that is continuing to grow year on year. This role is perfect for a candidate who has a solid foundation of traffic/transport principles and is looking for a great mentor.

About the Role:
I am seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Traffic Engineer with 2–5 years of professional experience to join their growing Melbourne team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of transport and traffic projects, contributing to innovative and practical solutions that shape how people move through our cities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake traffic impact assessments for development applications
• Prepare transport reports, including parking, access, and servicing assessments
• Conduct traffic modelling and analysis using industry-standard tools
• Assist in the design and delivery of traffic engineering solutions
• Liaise with clients, local councils, and stakeholders
• Support senior engineers in project delivery and client management

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transport Engineering, or a related field
• 2–5 years’ experience in traffic or transport engineering (consultancy experience preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with software such as SIDRA, AutoCAD or similar (desirable)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
